Pressure Treated New Softwood Sleepers – Tanalised – Natural Green
Treated softwood sleepers are safer for garden and leisure use than traditional reclaimed railway sleepers that contain creosote, which can leach out making them unsuitable for usage in the garden where there is frequent skin contact such as where young children play or food production such as vegetable beds. Softwood garden sleepers also have a mellower colour, starting off as a light natural green colour and then progressively fading to a greyish silver hue.

Softwood sleepers available in following sizes: –
100mm x 200mm x 2.4m (4” x 8” x 7ft 10”)
125mm x 250mm x 2.4m (5” x 10” x 7ft 10”)

Incised Green UC4 Treated Softwood Sleepers 100mm x 200mm x 2.4m

The new INC15ED range of landscape sleepers gives added confidence and assurance to your next landscaping project. Manufactured from quality whitewood, our sleepers are kiln dried and incised prior to preservative treatment to Use Class 4 and covered by a 15 year warranty against decay and insect attack. * (conditions apply – see warranty)

Incising technology was developed and proven with generations of use in North America, and James Jones was the first timber processor in the UK to adopt this system. Incisions along the entire length of the component create a neat yet distinctive pattern on all 4 sides. This allows preservative treatment, applied under pressure, to penetrate deeper into the structure of the timber creating a robust and uniform envelope of protection.

These incised sleepers use Class 4 treatment, as recommended for ground contact applications which offers enhanced penetration as well as a broader spectrum of protection against decay organisms, particularly certain copper tolerant brown rots.
